What is the Hybrid Power Flow Monitor?
This monitor is integrated into the Driver Information Interface or the display audio screen. It allows you to keep an eye on the hybrid powertrain, more specifically to see whether the engine or electric motor – or both, for that matter – are supplying power or recharging the high-voltage battery in the CR-V Hybrid.
Does the Honda CR-V Hybrid offer selectable drive modes?
The Honda CR-V Hybrid puts control in your hands by allowing you to turn on one of three different selectable drive modes. The first is ECON, which will adjust certain settings in an effort to improve fuel efficiency. The second is Sport mode, which will instead improve the performance of the engine. Finally, EV mode will temporarily allow you to operate your CR-V Hybrid completely on the electric motor, though this requires certain conditions to be met.
How does regenerative breaking work?
Finally, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid offers regenerative braking technology. This feature includes deceleration selectors mounted to the vehicle’s steering wheel, which allows you to either increase or decrease the effect of regenerative braking. The technology allows the vehicle to charge the high-voltage battery on the go, supplying power each time you release the acceleration pedal.
