The Honda CR-V has been turning heads for over a quarter century now. That’s more than two-and-a-half decades, but it only continues to improve its reputation and popularity year after year. For example, just last year for the 2020 model year, Honda introduced a hybrid version of the iconic compact crossover. Now in its sophomore year, we’re absolutely stoked to continue providing the exciting 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid to shoppers near Savannah GA. The vehicle combines everything we’ve come to know and love about the CR-V through the many years with all the benefits that come from a hybrid powertrain. Does it get any better than that?
Powered by the combination of a 2.0L 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine with an AC Synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor, the CR-V Hybrid offers an outstanding blend of power and efficiency. The hybrid powertrain combines to generate up to 212 horsepower alongside 232 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty of power for a vehicle of its size – in fact, it’s more powerful than even the traditional CR-V has to offer.
Perhaps more importantly, however, the CR-V Hybrid achieves much great fuel economy ratings than its gas-only sibling. To be a bit more specific, the vehicle achieves 40 miles per gallon when operating through the city or 35 mpg on the highway, which created a combined average of 38 mpg*. That eight or nine miles more to the gallon combined than the gas CR-V, depending on which drive system it’s equipped with.
Of course, the 2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid is still packed full of incredible technologies and features, most of the same ones that are found in the regular Honda CR-V. You can give us a call to find out even more about the CR-V Hybrid, or just to schedule a test drive for yourself. We look forward to seeing you in the driver’s seat!
